Collections Online

Stanford University Archaeology Collections Online

Stanford University Archaeology Collections are available for browsing at our Collections Online web portal. Our online database is a work in progress, and more collections will be added as we continue collections management, inventory, and research work on our over 50,000 items (and counting!).

The Stanford Archaeology Center strives to make the Stanford University Archaeology Collections accessible to many stakeholder communities. Please be aware that Collections Online is created from historic documentation and is a work in progress. Our records are frequently updated and revised. Not all collections are online. All online items are physically in our collections, but not all database records have been reviewed or edited. In addition, records represent historical perspectives and, unfortunately, may include offensive, outdated, and/or incorrect information that does not represent current views of the Stanford Archaeology Center or Stanford University. We warmly invite input from descendant communities, researchers, or other experts regarding this content. For more information about these archaeological, ethnographic, and archival collections, please contact us at suarchcoll [at] stanford.edu (subject: Collections%20Online) (suarchcoll[at]stanford[dot]edu). Please see our Collections Management Policy for more details on current policies and procedures.
