In the Surface: Material Expressions of Iron-Bearing Ceramics (2018)

This exhibit highlights the multi-colored manifestations of iron-bearing surfaces in ceramics from Korea and the Americas, including both ancient and contemporary artworks. It represents an ongoing transdisciplinary collaboration between the Stanford Archaeology Center, Stanford University Archaeology Collections, Stanford’s Ceramic Art, Science, & Culture program, and the Cantor Arts Center.
