Welcome to The Daggett Collection Project

This spring, the Stanford University course Museum Cultures: Material Representation in the Past and Present will take on the Daggett Collection of late 19th-century ethnographic materials from tribes of the Lower Klamath River in northern California. Our goal is to understand and to share more fully the history, contents, and significance of this important collection. The course will culminate in a student-curated exhibition opening the first week of June, 2015. This course is the first step in a larger initiative. Based at the Stanford University Archaeology Collections, the Daggett Collection Project will remain a significant area of research and outreach into the future.

Check out our About page for more information on the collection and project.
